Kids have been back to school for a couple weeks now here in Arizona, but with the official “end of summer” coming up, I thought I’d reminisce a bit about some of our summer travel.
Hubby and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary this summer and had a few days for a “getaway.” A couple of years ago I had seen these yurts while driving through Big Sur and was determined to stay in one someday and our anniversary seemed like the perfect time. What a gorgeous setting and the perfect place to truly unwind and unplug. No cell service, no wifi just us getting to reconnect in nature a bit. . . and since the nature also came with wood floors, a sushi bar, and an actual bed I was ALL.IN!
I highly recommend a stay at Treebones Resort in Big Sur California . . . a stunning location, friendly staff and a great place to unwind.

Hiking among the Red Woods in Big Sur . . .

Exploring the organic garden at Treebones. . .
Coastal California imagery. . .
We spent a couple of nights in Carmel, California adoring that little town and drooling over the real estate and delicious food! Photo-walks in Carmel are full of inspiration…
ended our fantastic getaway with a quick trip through 17-Mile Drive and Pebble Beach on our way back to the airport. . .
and of course a few favorite iPhone /instagram pics . . .
Thanks for coming along on our travels through Big Sur and Carmel and one of our favorite trips to date! xo, Rachel
