I am thrilled to be sharing some photos from Sarah & Ross’ recent Tempe, Arizona engagement session. It was hard for me to pick some favorites for the blog because I feel like the love between these two shines through in every image we took. I’d love to be able to take credit for that, but truly I just captured what I saw through my lens and I gotta admit, these two made my job easy! They were not only naturals in front of the camera, but their relationship — their love and friendship — seems to be so natural as well. They have a great energy not only as individuals but as a couple. (Plus, they looked super cute  … I’ve already gotten messages from friends who saw the sneak peek images on Facebook about how much they loved Sarah’s outfit! I get lots of questions about what to wear for an engagement session or photo shoot. . .  Sarah and Ross set a great example!)

We had such a good time exploring Tempe Center for the Arts and the surrounding neighborhood and it felt like hanging out with old friends as we talked and laughed and Sarah and Ross reminisced about how they met, we revisited some of their first date spots and I learned of the amazing date Ross planned the first time they celebrated Sarah’s birthday together. (Um, hello? Total keeper!) 

I am looking SO forward to photographing Ross and Sarah’s wedding in December and to getting to spend more time with them as we finalize the photography details for their big day; it’s such an honor to be asked and trusted to capture such special, meaningful memories and moments and I don’t take it for granted for one minute. Thank you, Sarah and Ross for putting your trust in me and for the honor of witnessing your love through my lens.   xo, rachel
