This dear mama-friend of mine . . . what a joy to photograph her and her sweet children at Arabian Park in Scottsdale last weekend. I love photographing mothers and children. So often we’re the ones behind the camera or we’re hiding from having our picture taken (guilty as charged.) And sometimes kids just “don’t wanna” be photographed and we have to bribe them (and maybe even ourselves) with some frozen yogurt 😉 . . . But when I can get them in front of my lens and get to celebrate the love they share – the posed shots and the unscripted moments (which are often my favorite) – it’s such a treat! We got some beautiful images at this shoot in part because of the alluring golden light twinkling through the trees, in part because of the outer beauty of mom, daughter and son and almost entirely because of their inner beauty and all of the love and adoration that shines through in each image. These kids love their devoted mama (and vice versa) and it shows. I’m so glad I could freeze a few precious moments for them to hopefully cherish for a lifetime.
